PRACTICAL ANSWERS

A little clarity
can help.

Start with the questions you have. If your situation is different, you’re welcome to ask.

Insurance & payment

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept almost all insurance plans. Before scheduling, confirm that your exact plan and the therapist you’ll see are a match. Acceptance of an insurer does not mean every plan, service, or clinician is in-network.

What will a session cost?

Your cost can depend on your plan, deductible, copay, and the service you receive. Ask the practice and your insurer about your expected cost before your first appointment. If you are considering self-pay, ask the practice for the current rate.

What should I ask my insurance company?

Ask whether the specific therapist is in-network, whether you have a deductible or copay, whether telehealth is covered, and whether you need a referral or authorization. Have your member information available when discussing coverage with the practice.

Starting & finding a fit

Can I choose a therapist?

You can request a therapist or ask the practice to help you explore a fit. Preferences, clinical fit, and current availability are discussed before scheduling.

Is sending the form the same as booking an appointment?

No. The interest form starts an inquiry. The practice will follow up about fit and next steps; an appointment is not confirmed just because the form was sent.

What if therapy hasn’t helped before?

It makes sense to have questions. You can share what did not work for you and what you would want to be different. Ask about a therapist’s approach and how you can raise concerns along the way.

What if I don’t know what to say?

You can start with what has been difficult lately or what led you to look for support. You don’t need a diagnosis or a polished explanation to ask a question.

Online sessions & visiting

Can we meet online?

Allis offers telehealth as well as in-person therapy. Ask whether online sessions are appropriate for your needs, available with your therapist, and permitted where you will be located during the appointment.

Where is the office?

Find us at 1442 South 92nd Street in West Allis, near Greenfield Avenue. Free parking and nearby bus access are described in the practice’s arrival information. Visit Contact & Directions for the map.

Can I ask about accessibility or language needs?

Yes. Tell the practice what would help you access care. Ask about the specific therapist, language, format, or arrival arrangements you need before scheduling.

Feedback & concerns

Can I raise a concern with someone other than my therapist?

Yes. Ask the practice to connect you with Megan, the clinical director, about your experience. The Client Support page explains how to ask for that conversation.

Where can I find urgent help?

This website and the practice inquiry route are not emergency services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. In the United States, call or text 988 for crisis support.

YOUR QUESTIONS. YOUR PACE.

You don’t need
the perfect words.

A question about the person, the process or the practical things is a place to start.
